The role

Job description

Markage is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our fully remote Canadian team. This role focuses on planning, executing, measuring, and improving digital marketing across paid, organic, email, web, and conversion channels. You will manage practical campaign activity from brief and setup through monitoring, reporting, and improvement. The role requires enough hands-on experience to make sound channel decisions while remaining comfortable with detailed execution, documentation, and quality checks. You will work with marketers, designers, content specialists, developers, client-service teams, analysts, and client stakeholders. Clear communication, reliable follow-through, and careful work are expected. AI-assisted tools may be used for research, campaign preparation, reporting, content drafting, data summaries, testing ideas, and workflow support. All AI-assisted work must be reviewed for accuracy, relevance, confidentiality, and fit before it is shared or used.

Essential duties

  • Plan and execute measurable digital campaigns across paid, organic, email, web, and conversion channels.
  • Translate campaign objectives into channel plans, audiences, content needs, tracking, and practical next steps.
  • Build, schedule, launch, and monitor campaign activity using approved platforms and processes.
  • Review performance data and identify clear opportunities for optimization or further testing.
  • Prepare concise reports that explain results, changes, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Coordinate landing-page, creative, content, tracking, and technical requirements with other teams.
  • Maintain accurate campaign settings, naming, budgets, links, UTM structures, and working documentation.
  • Complete competitor, keyword, audience, content, and channel research where relevant.
  • Check campaign and website experiences for accuracy, consistency, and conversion issues.
  • Use evidence to recommend practical changes without overstating what the data can prove.

Essential requirements

  • Hands-on experience with at least two digital marketing channels.
  • Working knowledge of campaign measurement, analytics, reporting, and basic conversion concepts.
  • Strong written communication and ability to interpret performance information clearly.
  • Ability to manage several campaigns, deadlines, and client priorities.
  • Holds a valid Dex Professional Specialist Certification (DEX-PSP) in the Marketing & Growth domain.

Preferred qualifications

  • Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta, HubSpot, or comparable platform certification.
  • Agency or multi-client digital marketing experience.
  • Experience with marketing automation, e-commerce, landing pages, or conversion testing.
